Hello everyone, this is Jeff Johnson of ShadyBoyz' Pits. I've been asked several times by many people "Why the American Pit Bull Terrier?".  My first reply to the question is usually "Why not?". After a few minutes of hearing them "bash" the breed, I usually laugh and begin to ask them a few common sense, dog questions. But anyway, I was just wondering how the owners of other working breeds felt about the misunderstood APBT. I would also like to cross post the replies to my website if possible!

Hey JJ, here's a nice little blog about pits that sums things up pretty much, IMO.

Did you know that the board of supervisors classified pit bulls ( and their crosses) wild animals. Do you think that is why they're so misunderstood?

I think they used the phrase "dangerous animals," but I could be mistaken.

Finally found it. I copied it from the ordinance requirements sheet of the Rankin County Board of Supervisors!
