Years of work and study have been essential for us to build upon those who came before us. Let us respect their accomplishments, recognize their failures, and forgive them of their mistakes so we can build upon their work and move forward. John Bayard Swinford, DVM, (pictured above with Bantu) understood the canine to an exceptional level and developed some outstanding performance dogs and excelled in many activities, including...

1. Improving the working mastiff,

2. Physical and mental performance selection, and

3. Producing a large physical protection dog that excelled at man-work.

Anyone will be welcome to the SSDA baord as long as follow these simple rules. Feel free to ask what you desire, share what you can, and even disagree with people when "heated" topics come up as long as we continue to follow the board. We hope you enjoy sharing what you can and hopefully learning something too.

Each person on this board has worked in their own right to accomplish what they have accomplished. I would like to request that you remember this when you reply to emotional topics. Just as one sword can be used to sharpen another, sharing information in a productive way can be useful to all. And we all are only human, including you...so, please be respectful.

Thanks and enjoy the forum,

Lee Robinson
