Hey guys i had a question, merry christmas to everyone btw..... my question is im looking to get some agitation collars for my dogs, i get alot of my stuff from elitek9.com  but the widest they have is 2 inches? is this effiecent enough for something like a bandog?  is 2 inches gonna be wide enough not to irritate the dog? my male is about 120 and pulls hard........ on a side note what do you guys prefer collar or harness ???  thx in advance

A 2" wide collar is plenty wide if you are using a 6' leash or less. A lot of people like harnesses for the reasons you mentioned, but I myself prefer not to. I have met a lot of trainers that use harnesses, but the best trainers I have met or talked to all used collars. A collar allows you better control of the dog's neck and head, helps prevent the dog from dragging a handler, and is typically what a dog will be wearing should it ever be called into action. Once "drive" is well established and once the dog gets a good understanding of PP work, I will even go to a prong collar for some hard pulling dogs.

Awsome, they are ordered, i currently use a harness for my male, we use the prong collar sometimes during pp training, the guy that decoys for me said that the collars can add more aggression in a good way........ i dont know if  he was talking about the prong, or collars in general, i think he was just talking about the prong...... but i think a collar will make it easier for me to easier to control the dog with.....  i use to half an article in one of thoughs elite k9 magazines that had a harness vs collar piece in it, to bad i lost the mag..... anyways thx for the help.....
