The Garner Pit looks PERFECT!!! A male would be a good start to a bandog program!

They are great performance canines with strong drives if raised correctly! I started with a female from Garner and loved her crazy @$$.

Hi guys,

The dogs at garners' and colby are definitely game-bred pitbulls but the world class k9s are american bullies, do bandog breeders use bullies? Mr Shady boy would the garner dogs be useful for someone considering breeding pitbulls for shutzhund or protection work, how was your garner bitch?  Thanks for the post.

Hi shady boy,

I just saw on your site what looked like the pedigree of shawty and i saw Omolara as one of the parents, sounds like a nigerian name, do you have any info on the breeder of that dog..    Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't use a "bully." They are not performance oriented dogs.

Thanks guys,

I was just curious because one of the kennels posted by shady boy in my opinion had bullies and not pitbulls.

I wouldn't use a bully dog, the pit blood in my program is Jeep, Redboy, Rascal, and Chinaman, I really like a lot about Chinaman. But that doesn't mean bandog breeders don't use them, a lot of breeders breed bandogs for looks (and not my taste of looks either) you usually see them trying to make 150 pound American bullies. Usually the only breeding tests are the weight and head size of a dog. Too many bandogs are show bulldogs crossed with show mastiffs, which gives you show bandogs.

Right now I've got Great Dane, APBT, Neapolitan Mastiff, Bordeaux, and Bullmastiff, In my program, but I'm always open to any dog that has genes I want.

Your probably seeing the dane traits.

Does anyone have any idea what language this board is in? I've gotten a ton of hits from it today but don't even know what they're saying.

I was just showing three different sides of the track[ Colby = Tradition, Garner = Performance, World Class = "Under Dog"/ Odds] Just depends on what your really looking for. I personally don't like bullies at all, but I do love American Pit Bull Terriers. Today they come in all shapes and sizes, so if they work well with no health problems I'll give them the respect they deserve. IMO, if you raise a puppy from Garner you could get that pup to excel in whatever he falls in love with. He has plenty of crosses with his Chinaman/Frisco Line. I've always wanted a Colby male as a symbol of tradition because they imported plenty of dogs to america to start their family of dogs. My Garner female was all BULLDAWG! WORKAHOLIC.

Colby dogs aint what they used to be...........would go Chinaman, RBJ, or OFRN-based stuff instead.

I am expecting to pick up a VERY HEAVY Baracuda (Mayday) bred gyp pretty soon. Will see how she turns out. I may be putting her under Sandman.

I agree that a well bred Mayday dog is quality stuff. I have had some very similarly bred dogs to the gyp I am expecting and they were great dogs.

Garner has never worked any of his dogs in that field, but they can be protective. Depends on how you raise them. I know the Colby dogs are not what they used to be, but they are still traditional. So are the Chinaman, RBJ, "Yellow Dogs".
