so, I've tested levi's nerves with some agitation and he is very stable when not provoked. He is confident and loves people. I was scared he was overly friendly, but he explodes when provoked. Lookin for a trainer here in southaven, ms. Question is, what if these trainers out here haven't had much exper. with mastiff type breeds. I will question the mess out of em before spending a dime, but should I go ahead and use em still? I don't have much money to get someone experienced to come down if they r far from here. He seems like he'd do great and I just love watchin him do what I think he's good at. And I want him to be ready but also I want to have that experience to control him in a situation. He has no visible fear or lack of confidence that would stop him from making that bite. So, take what I can get? Or wait for a better oportunity? Thanks for ur help.

Could not help with a suggestion for a trainer, but I wish you much luck in that area, a good trainer is worth their weight in gold in my opinion.  Just as a side question, what breed ( or breed make up) is your dog Levi?

Well, he was given to me by a guy who neglected him. I was told he was a purebred mastiff. When I saw him he was 56lbs of emaciated skin and bones. I told the guy, this aint a purebred mastiff. I only knew of the akc type mastiffs. He didn't resemble any. I assumed he was a mastiff mix. I "knew" the guy was lying and knew nothing of dogs. So I researched and he resembled bullmastiff mixes. The pic doesn't show him well. I now believe the guy and I'm most convinced he's a tosa inu. His wrinkles, red coat. Black tipped tail, giant paws in relation to height,he loves to wrestle and fight. Everything matches. On the sight fightingtosa.com every dog looks like levi. I wish I could post more pics of him but I don't know how except for my avatar profile pic. I hate I put on here he was a bullmastiff mix but I figured the guy was lying. I had never heard of tosas.
