I like to look around as much as I can at the different breeds and see that they are really made for different purposes and I love the Bandog type of dogs & since this is a informative forum... here I am I am from Norway, soon 40 years of age and for the future I would like to know more about dogs like Chimera's Tara/Tora and what the Pit X Tosa influences does, how I can expect them to work in a normal day situation as walking on the streets and training WP SP obedience and tracking, so I all info / videos I can get the more happy I would get The breed I have now is Canario and I loove them but maybe in the future it will space for a Bandog ? Gaute Larse I suspect there are two reasons why you didn't get hello. First...your user ID is "X" and your initial sign off was "G" (both anonymous in nature)"...meaning you hadn't introduced yourself by name. Additionally, niether of these letters when used by themselves generally bring out a respectable view by many members of society. With the amount of nonsense that occurs on other forums...some people probably didn't take your initial introduction seriously. Second, many views would probably be made by non-members...people who can't post. Just something to consider...and I hope you are not offended by this probability. I find myself more willing to take the time to answer questions to those that use ligitimate IDs mainly because I find myself more and more busy every day and I simply don't have the time to spend with those who are just lurking around...so thank you for taking the time to properly introduce yourself in your follow up post. As to your question about the Tosa x APBT cross. It can be very good if one uses the right dogs. The tosa is generally a relatively healthy and structurally sound mastiff dog. Even if they are not your typical mastiff, many do still have the roots in the gene pool to display defense drive when confronted in a suspicious manner. I think the cross is a good one...although generally you will have to deal with more dog aggression with this cross than some of the other crosses in which bandogs are produced from.

Thanx for the Hello The dog aggresion is ok or at least the dogs have to have drives for not being a lazy lump so I guess I can live with, The Bandog I would like is a dog I can train with for longer time who does not get lower and lower in energy and it can be a + if he or she is not so suspisius about strangers because when I train and new people walks by or joins the training group sometimes they looks on the new ones and have problems letting them in the "pack." So I guess thats my idea of the Tosa X Pit thing because it is supposed to hard as nuts on dogs but maybe not care about the guardian thing as much as the Presa ? Am I on the wrong planet here? I dont need to have the extra guardian thing on my Bandog....maybe sounds strange but I would like to have a pit in big size who I can play/train with and of course do bitework with but it does not have to be the aggression type of dog but more like the bite for fun and when you put the pressure on him/her later (when I hopefully have obedience and all the pieces together) the dog will bring out the extra and is allowed to be protective. Your thought on this? Regards Gaute

Gaute, If you use good foundation dogs, the APBT x Mastiff and/or the APBT x Neapolitan wouldn't be lazy either. The key to having the dogs stable around people is going to be socializing the dogs enough so they take it as a normal thing.
