Chimera Kennels

I was notified that this kennel stole my writings and a few of our breed requirements for our program and tried to present the material as if it was their own work and idea. Links to the stolen materials were sent to me via email. Here is SOME of MY INFORMATION that they stole from our program that they tried to present on their website as if it was their own material, and I quote...

"We believe in Freedom and the pursuit of happiness, as well as the right to protect it. The goal of our Andante Bandog program is to produce the finest performance oriented family companion guardian K9s in existence today for civilian use. To get a better understanding of what this means, one should view our page about the family companion guardian, but basically it means this....

Requirements from our Bandogs before they become part of our program.

• Our Bandogs must be safe and stable with family members,
• Our Bandogs must show good nerves,
• Our Bandogs must be exceptional athletes that display efficient movement,
• Our Bandogs must have sufficient power,
• Our Bandogs must have considerable endurance and heat tolerance,
• Our Bandogs must have excellent defense drives for protection applications,
• Our Bandogs must have good prey drive to aid in training,
• Our Bandogs must be structurally sound,
• Our Bandogs must be clean and easy to live with when indoors,
• Our Bandogs must have a strong desire to please and be with their master, family, and close friends,
• Our Bandogs must be physically impressive to add a deterrent factor towards criminals or others with bad intentions, and
• Our Bandogs must have excellent fight drives and courage when a protective situation calls for a determined dog."

The above information was stolen straight from our "About Chimera Kennels" page, and was plagiarized without our permission. It is not our breed standard, but it is part of our "requirements quick list per say." They copied it directly, removed the Chimera Kennels references (but mistakenly didn't remove the hidden links), inserted the Andante Bandog kennel name, and replaced the word "dogs" with "bandogs." Everything else was a direct plageristic lie. They had also stolen my write up about the Swinford Bandog program and put it on their website. I confronted them on the matter and they tried to deny it...and tried to suggest this work was their own, and not mine. Upon sending them screen shots of the "view source" page (which revealed hidden Chimera Kennels hyperlinks within the text), they then immediately too all the plagiarized information down. I have also saved a copy their old website where others can view it as it once was (I don't know how this works, but it does work should they try to deny it to the public), as they have since changed it after being confronted on the matter. I would be very careful about trusting this outfit. Anyone that will steal information and present stolen information as if it is their own information is a thief. A thief is a liar...and a liar is not to be trusted. You can't trust a program that would do this and then deny it. Who knows if the dogs a person gets will be bred the way it is claimed to have been bred? Very suspect practice in my opinion. Now, if they do right in the future, I will wish them well, but only if they are going to do right.

Fortunately, I saved these print screen shots. The information came WORD FOR WORD from my site...and they did NOT have permission to use it. They tried deceive the public with the information by presenting it as if it was their own work describing their personal standards and goals.. The worst part is they even copied our goal by use of the phrase "to produce the finest family companion guardian K9 in existence today for civilian use"...trying to suggest this as if it was their own goal. Apparently their real goal is to steal the work of others (but not get caught in the process). Shame shame.

I believe in both referencing those that come before us, as well as holding dishonest thieves accountable for their unethical practices...as a person that believes in protecting what is his property, I am not going to sit idle and let someone steal my work and try to falsely present it as if it is their own.

Well they just got put on blast!

Yup. Busted. Now, who wants to bet they will be a typical thief and get mad at me for holding them accountable for their thievery?

Wow, what a shame. It never ceases to amaze me just how many unscrupulous people there are in dogs. You can always tell the truly righteous because they have no need to lie or make excuses to justify their actions because by definition they do what is RIGHT. However the guilty or sinful seem to do NOTHING BUT lie and make excuses to justify their immoral actions most often simply in an attempt to APPEAR righteous. Theft is a SIN! Taking what is not yours is ALWAYS wrong no matter how minor one may feel the offense is. All these people would have to have done is state that their feelings were in conjuction with your own and give credit where credit was do for the writings. How hard would it have been to simply ask you if they could use your words to help explain their own thoughts? I hope you hold them as accountable for their actions as is in your power.

As a lover of canines it makes me sick to see so many people completely disregard the RESPONSIBILITY they have to not only the animals themselves, but to the SCIENCE and ART of dog breeding as well. I see so many people  constantly abusing the PRIVILAGE of being able to not only share ones life with a dog or dogs, but to breed them as well. I'll never understand the lack of value people place on the seriousness of creating life.

He is overseas and I am sure there isn't really anything I could do legally, but I sure can tell expose him as a deceptive person so other people can aware of his dishonest behavior.

If a man (or woman) can't outline their own goals, they probably shouldn't be a breeder.

I went to their website and they appear to me to be nothing more than another group of breeders trying to make money off of dog breeding. I saw absolutely no detailing of the ancestral history of their animals. Absolutely no clear photo or video evidence that their dogs are sound; stable; capable protectors or that they come from such dogs. Everything they have written on their site seems aimed at marketing imo. SAD! I'm glad it was brought to your attention that they had stolen from you, nothing pisses me off more than unscrupulous people getting away with it. Thank you for being one of the very few good guys left in the dog business, I appreciate it and feel very fortunate to have found you.
