The old man's still looking good! I'm loving my son from him and Indy, he is a great dog. Plenty mellow and EXTREMELY smart and trainable.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been thinking about keeping "Church," a sister to your boy. If I do, I may end up selling Indy instead. I don't need both those females...but one of them will be staying here.

No problem. I haven't had ANY issues whatsoever with him in several weeks. I think we've finally come to an understanding with each other lol. He's athletic as all get out, extremely fast and agile, prey drive is coming along very nicely. He's starting to show some suspicion with strange noises and people. If someone comes to my door and he thinks I'm not sure who it is, he'll growl a bit and huff and puff bark. Many gun shots and fireworks were going off all around us last night and he barked and growled at the noise, fortunately he didn't seem nervous about it at all. He stills loves every new person and dog we meet out in public as well. Now that he's done teething, he's holding his bite much better now as well. I'm VERY happy with him at six months. His structure is very nice as well. He does have narrow nasal passages that affect his breathing a bit, but until he's older I won't know just how much. It doesn't affect him on walks, and we've gone as far as 12 miles in 3 hours several times, and he doesn't seem to tire when he runs around the house, but he makes a lot of noise when breathing. I'll know more when he's older and I start running him harder and for longer distances. All and all he is a VERY NICE pup. His bite is strooooong too lemme tell ya. Thanks again Sir for this boy, couldn't be happier with him. I don't have a camera to post pics on line, but I have several on my cell if you'd like me to text you any let me know.

Thanks for the thorough review. Sounds great so far. That is a bit far for a young pup IMO, but as long as he WANTS TO keep going without being "left behind" I don't have any concern about it. I believe in "free exercise" for young dogs. I have had some difficulty getting picture texts sent to my phone number, so if you could text them to my email... chimerakennels@msn.com that would be appreciated.

I agree on the mileage. I take him on a trail through the woods around a lake by my house. The first time we did the loop was by accident, I had no idea it was that far around but once your on you either go and turn around or complete the loop. I had walked about 4-5 miles which is our usual distance, only to realize I would have to turn around and do 10 or could finish the loop and do the 12. We were both very tired afterward, but he never tried to stop and didn't seem weak or show any signs of physical distress. Gave him a good rubdown after and he was good. We've done it 2 more times now with same results. He's never shown any reluctance to continue on. Most days we just do 4-5 miles through the neighborhood though. He has some Gypsy Vanner horse buddies that he likes to go feed carrots and apples to lol. They don't love him as much as he loves them.

I'm not sure if I can send e-mail with my phone as I don't have any data plan. I will check with my cousin tomorrow and she if she can. If not I believe I will have access to a digital camera in the next few weeks and I will get picks then.
