Member Posts: 57 | Good for you tom! I remember you wanting to get a dog after you mentioning that boy you gave to a friend. You would post pics of him. Well, you have a beast of a boy on your hands now and you know he is a good one if he is from David ishee. He looks real good, and big if you ask me.

Moderator Posts: 238 | Hey Tom He looks great. He's always been a very impressive dog. He's got that "what the bleep do you want" look. He seems to be a little tighter skinned now, it looks like he's grown into it some. He also looks like he's going to be every bit his sires size. How is his temperament as he's growing? I see he's still showing good prey drive, is he showing much defense yet?

Here are a couple of pictures I've gotten back of his brothers. This is Hank he's with a family not far from me, his ears are cropped and have almost stood up.
This is Hannibal, it's an older picture but his crop looks very nice. He's with a family in Vicksburg, MS.

David, his temperament has been awesome. He is wonderful with my family, and good with other dogs. Kids can do no wrong in his eyes. He loves to play with them. He takes everything in stride. He has been well socialized, Loves to please and is smart. I take him with me everywhere I go. He is a showstopper. He gets complements all the time. He has just started showing defense I believe. He will run to the middle of the yard... stop... and growl at strangers walking down the street. That kind of stuff. Those ear crops look good, especially Hannibal. Did most of the pups from this litter have their ears done? I'm gonna leave Gus's ears intact. LOL!! Rick you remember that? Its been awhile. Thank you for the complement on Gus.

Great, I'm glad to hear it. I'm not sure if any of his other sibling got their ears cropped, I may still crop his sister Juno who I kept. I wouldn't touch Gus's ears, they look great. They frame his head well and the merle on them is so nice it would be a shame to cut it off.

That's kind of a broad question. From what I've seen from my female pick, the pups I still have availible, and all the reports I've gotten back, they seem to show good prey drive and are mostly starting to show more suspicion and defense. Achilles learns very quickly and seems to have passed that on, they seem to be progressing very well in all the things I look for a pup to do. They aren't really old enough to put much work into outside of OB and tug. Physically they are big but still pretty athletic and active, they are also fairly consistant and have nice structure. Generally I'm very happy with this litter, I hope that answered your question.

Hi Ya'll. Just wanted to give give you an update on Midgards Gus. He is 8 Mo old and weighs in at 117.2 lbs. He is 30 inches at his withers. I planning on getting some more pics of him this weekend. Ill get them posted asap. I have found a local trainer. We will be starting on his official OB soon. (And my wife will be trained as well. Every where I go I still get complimentson him. (On his looks, size and his behavior.) Oh yea... last night I was in my driveway and a white pickup comes rolling down the road real slow.... Gus was sitting by my side and his ears went up and was moving his head to see around my truck. Well the Chinese delivery guy got out and walked down my neighbors driveway... then up the sidewalk to thier front door. Well after he droped off the neighbors food he walked back down the sidewalk... which was toward our direction. Gus watching him the entire time started to growl... a long low deep growl... He did not move... the the guy turned and walked back down the driveway to his truck. Gus stoped growling and watched him get into his truck and leave. I have a real good feeling about this pup.

He's going to be a very big boy. How's his athleticism developing at that height and weight it sounds like he's quite a bit leaner than he was as a younger pup. It sounds like his protective instincts are developing as well, I hope you guys won't mind us coming up to see him when he's about 2 years old. I'm glad to hear you're going to get him trained, I always love to see one of my dogs work. Please don't forget about the pictures.
