Sandman is a very nice Neapolitan Mastiff. He is 2 & 1/2 years old, moves very well, has great confirmation, has good muscle tone, has a stable temperament, is tightly bonding to his family unit. We have done several health screening tests and confirmed that he has good hips and there are no problems with his heart. Everything has checked out with our vet to confirm his health. He is also very personable. He chills out in the house, but will liven up when playing, and can actually be a good bit more active than one might expect being of pure Neapolitan blood. Right now, we are developing him with some training and he is progressing very well...showing good prey and defense both. I certainly consider him breed worthy, and if we keep him here we will breed to him to one of our own females; however, I would like to find him a home as I don't have any intensions of keeping him long term. I just don't need another long term stud of pure Mastiff heritage. I would be willing to sell him prior to breeding him myself if I can retain rights to breed to him. Should the buyer of Sandman be interested in also obtaining a quality female from our program to breed him to, I would be willing to work something out on that as well. He is very good with women and children as well and is easy to walk on the leash despite his size. Although it is hard to tell in these photos, he is a mahogany brindle. Don't let the fact that I am selling him mislead you...as he is a very nice dog. He is priced at only $1500, which is very reasonable considering he full grown and such a nice specimen.
Although Sandmsn does not have formal training in PP work yet, he does show natural alerting and good defense drive during aggitation work. That said, we are starting his formal training now, and should someone be interested in purchasing him we are willing to keep him here to continue his training...as I am interested in his development...or he can be sold as is. He is too nice a dog though to ignore. So far, I am pleased with his progression. We will make a video of his defense drives during PP work. I am also working him with some prey work with some tugs hoping to develop his prey drive as well, as I prefer a dog that will work in BOTH prey and defense over a one demensional dog. Should he remain here for a while, we will be incorperating both prey and defense work into his PP formal training. Click HERE to view a video that shows him doing some prey development with a puppy sleeve, although this video is just playing around, it does display that he does have some degree of prey drive. Again, I will get a video to display his defense drive soon. Here is a second video of him playing with a flirt pole.
